WANGARATTA Turf Club is among a field in the running to host a Good Friday meeting next year, after changes to the Racing Act were introduced by the State Government this week.
The amendment to the act brought before parliament on Tuesday by Acting Racing Minister Jaala Pulford will see racing join football, rugby league and basketball in staging events on Good Friday.
